PDAG supported the Government of Jharkhand’s first participation at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. PDAG helped shape the state’s strategy, policy narrative and communications around the theme Growth in Harmony with Nature.

Led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Jharkhand delegation presented the state’s development priorities to international policymakers, businesses and institutions. The visit came as Jharkhand completed 25 years of statehood and marked an important step in the state’s global engagement.

The delegation highlighted Jharkhand’s strengths in critical minerals, renewable energy, manufacturing, electric mobility, skills, forests and the bio-economy. It also brought attention to the experiences of indigenous communities and regions affected by mining, migration and climate change.

Jharkhand’s message at Davos was that investment and industrial growth must go together with environmental protection, social justice and community participation. The state presented itself not only as a source of minerals and industrial resources, but also as a potential partner in building a fair and sustainable green economy.

PDAG’s support helped translate Jharkhand’s local realities and long-term development goals into a clear international narrative.
